Description

Proprioception is enhanced and strain on the residual limb is reduced. In addition, increasing the vacuum reduces the daily volume fluctuations of the residual limb. This effective system to connect a prosthesis has been available to transtibial amputees since 2001 in the form of the mechanical Harmony® pumps (e.g. P2 or HD). Their effectiveness has already been proven by several studies.

Harmony Pump

Ottobock’s Harmony® Vacuum Management System provides superb fit between the liner and socket while minimizing residual limb volume changes throughout the day.

Description

The Otto Bock Harmony vacuum offers a secure suspension by creating a negative vacuum in the socket, offering unprecedented comfort, control and safety. The system uses a pump and an exhaust valve, which are activated at every step when using the mechanical pump or by a sensor with the electronic version. The pump and valve allow the system to constantly regulate pressure for the optimal suspension. The mechanical version of the Harmony also offers a shock damping and torsion function, integrated into the mechanical pump.

Features

In combination with the other Harmony System components (e.g. an Anatomic 3D PUR Liner, a ProFlex Sleeve and the custom made Harmony compatible socket) the Harmony E2 provides volume management for the residual limb, enhanced suspension and reduced forces in the socket.

 

Limb Logic

The evolution of LimbLogic provides elevated vacuum in an easier to use system.

Description

The LimbLogic Sleeve works with the LimbLogic controller to ensure an airtight, secure system. This fabric-covered silicone sleeve comes with a separate silicone cuff. The cuff is placed directly over the socket’s trim line for extra protection from wear and impact. The sleeve is then donned over the cuff. The LimbLogic Sleeve has a repositionable silicone cuff allowing patients using elevated vacuum to fix a leak immediately. This clever, yet simple, design allows the cuff to be repositioned. Should a patient puncture their sleeve, they can rotate the cuff and immediately regain an airtight seal. Additionally, the fabric used on the LimbLogic Sleeve enhances knee flexibility for ease and comfort of movement.

Unity Pump

Description

The foot was inspired by Dale Beatty, Military Veteran, bilateral amputee and co-founder ofPurple Heart Homes. His organization is committed to leaving no Veteran behind and provides personalized housing solutions for disabled veterans and their families.

A truly redesigned and improved foot, the structure of the Soleus foot was optimized for strength-to-weight ratio based on extensive machine and real world testing. As a result, College Park was able to remove unnecessary weight while retaining superior strength. Coring out the aluminum housing and redesigning the front and back brought about additional removal and redistribution of mass. A new heel spring design created higher cyclic durability and a new mid spring design brought higher ultimate strength. All this combined with a new belt attachment system for higher tensile strength created a foot 40% stronger and 40g (10%) lighter.

LP Rotate

Ossur K2 sensation foot

K2 Sensation has a flexible full length fiberglass keel, designed to promote user confidence and stability.

Description

The multiaxial function is intended to mimic natural movements in addition to providing a smooth progression from heel strike to toe off, delivering all the comfort necessary for low impact activities. It is lightweight and has a sandal toe pleasing users who prefer a aesthetically looking foot.

College Park Odyssey K2 foot

The College Park OdysseyK2 foot provides fluid control for superior knee stability and incredible ground contact. The patented curved hydraulic cylinder allows for one pivot point, resulting in a smoother sweep, longer life and the lowest profile hydraulic foot to date.

Description

The College Park Odyssey K2 foot provides 12 degrees of smooth hydraulic motion that works in tandem with an Intelliweave composite foot base. Users gain additional plantar and dorsiflexion for a total range of motion of up to 27 degrees. The foot features independently adjustable plantar and dorsiflexion valves for in-office tuning.
